Founded in 1996, the Lions Club of Brisbane Chinese (BC Lions) is a proud part of the global Lions Clubs International network – the world’s largest service organisation with over 1.35 million members across 220+ countries and regions. Our Club unites passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, bound by a common commitment: to serve the community with compassion, energy and integrity.
For nearly three decades, BC Lions has played a unique and meaningful role in bridging cultures and building connections between the Chinese-Australian community and broader society. Born from a desire to show how migrant communities contribute positively to Australia, our Club has grown into a vibrant, multi-generational family of volunteers working together to make lasting impacts.
We serve where the need is greatest – whether it’s raising vital funds for medical research, supporting families at Ronald McDonald House, empowering youth through leadership programs, promoting environmental sustainability, or hosting Australian citizenship ceremonies to celebrate new beginnings. Our members have cooked meals for sick children, provided scholarships, planted thousands of trees, and rebuilt schools in disaster-affected regions. True to our motto “We Serve”, every dollar raised by the Club is directed toward charitable causes, not administration.
BC Lions is especially proud of its enduring support for the Lions Medical Research Foundation, having raised over $200,000 to back breakthrough research into cancer, diabetes, immunology, and more. Through projects like the Personality Quest, Christmas Love Campaign, and Campaign SightFirst, our Club continues to champion health, inclusion, and hope for those most in need.
Our members span a wide range of ages and professions – from young professionals and students to business owners and retirees. What unites us is a shared belief that giving back is not only a responsibility, but a joy. In doing so, we gain leadership experience, friendships, and the deep satisfaction of creating a better future.

我們服務於最需要的社會事項—無論是為醫學研究籌集重要資金、支持·麥當勞叔叔之家（Ronald McDonald House）內的家庭、透過領導袖計劃賦予青年人力量、促進環境可持續性，還是舉辦澳洲入籍儀式來慶祝移民新的開始。我們的會員曾為患病兒童烹飪餐點，提供獎學金，種植樹木，以及在災區重建學校。忠於獅子會的座右銘「我們服務」 (We Serve)，「華人獅子會」籌集的每一分錢都用於慈善事業，而非用於行政支出。
